Fishing Trip
Out on the water before sunrise. Good company, no rush — a local boat, rod and reel, and a captain who knows the reefs.
A morning on the water off Mirissa’s south coast. You leave at first light with a local captain and fish the coastal reefs with rod and reel — the way it’s done here. Small boat, four guests maximum, so it stays personal. Whatever you land is yours to take home.

Who it’s for
For: Anyone who wants a calm, early morning on the water and a bit of fishing — beginners fine.
Not for: Anyone chasing marlin, sailfish or other offshore big game, or who needs to come home with a fish — this is a three-hour inshore morning, and nothing is guaranteed.
What you might catch
These are inshore reefs, not offshore big-game water. Trevally, barracuda, snapper, grouper and Spanish mackerel — “seer fish” locally — are what these waters hold, and smaller tuna turn up on some mornings. Nothing is ever guaranteed: some mornings the sea gives, some it doesn’t.
